Cincinnati
Bengal's football fans have allot to be excited for when it comes
to the upcoming 2007 NFL football season. The 2006 Bengal's where
on the verge of making the playoffs at 8-5 but came up short loosing
there last 3 football games. For the 2007 Bengal's to make it back
to the playoffs it will take the defense stepping up. They spent there
1st round draft pick on CB Leon Hall out of Michigan which should
help. In 2006 the Bengal's also used there 1st round draft pick on
a CB selection Johnathan Joseph out of South Carolina. The real question
for this defense will be the linebackers. The Bengal's are counting
allot on unproven players such as Ahmad Brooks. Other Bengal defense
starters are Madieu Williams, Landon Johnson, Deltha O'Neal, Justin
Smith, Domata Peko, and Robert Geathers. If this defense can play
half way decent we like the Bengal's chances. With offensive firepower
such as Chad Johnson, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Rudi Johnson, and Chris
Henry just to name a few. The offense line should be strong if they
can stay healthy with Willie Anderson and Levi Jones. The Bengal's
could go either way in 2007 depending on the defense, everyone who
is anyone knows about the Bengal's offense. If you want more information

Bengals - Team
History - Life
as a Bengals Fan
Cincinnati Bengals, professional football team and one of six teams
in the Central Division of the American Football Conference (AFC)
of the National Football League (NFL). Under the league’s realignment
plan, which will take affect in 2002, the Bengals will play in the
North Division of the AFC. The Bengals play at Cinergy Field in Cincinnati,
Ohio, and are scheduled to move to a new venue, Paul Brown Stadium,
in the 2000 season. The team wears uniforms of orange, black, and
white. The franchise was named after the Cincinnati Bengals football
team that played in the now-defunct American Football League between
1937 and 1941.
The Bengals joined a
different American Football League (AFL) as an expansion team in
1968. The club was organized by Paul Brown, who as a coach had won
three NFL titles with the Cleveland Browns during the 1950s. In
the Bengals’ first season, running back Paul Robinson led
the AFL in rushing and was named rookie of the year.
Cincinnati joined the
NFL in 1970 when the NFL and AFL completed their merger. The team
won the AFC Central Division in its first NFL season, relying especially
on an outstanding defense that starred cornerbacks Lemar Parrish
and Ken Riley. In the playoffs the Bengals lost in the first round.
Brown guided the Bengals
to postseason appearances again in 1973 and 1975, and Ken Anderson
emerged as one of the NFL’s finest quarterbacks. He won three
consecutive passing titles from 1973 to 1975 with the help of wide
receiver Isaac Curtis and tight end Bob Trumpy. Another favorite
target of Anderson was running back Boobie Clark, the 1973 rookie
of the year. Cincinnati lost in the first round of the playoffs
in both 1973 and 1975.
Following several coaching
changes and mixed results over the next few seasons, the Bengals
won the division crown in 1981 under head coach Forrest Gregg, a
former offensive tackle and a member of the Hall of Fame. Anderson
won his fourth passing title, and running back Pete Johnson and
rookie wide receiver Cris Collinsworth each gained more than 1,000
yards. In the playoffs, Cincinnati defeated the Buffalo Bills and
the San Diego Chargers before losing to the San Francisco 49ers
in the Super Bowl, 26-21.
The Bengals remained
competitive throughout the mid-1980s. Boomer Esiason replaced Anderson
in 1985 and, like his predecessor, became one of the NFL’s
premier quarterbacks. Following a 4-11 win-loss record in 1987,
Cincinnati finished the 1988 season with a 12-4 mark. Esiason won
the first of his two NFC passing titles and shared player of the
year honors with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Randall Cunningham.
Running back James Brooks, wide receiver Eddie Brown, and tackle
Anthony Munoz also starred in the AFC’s top-rated offense.
In the playoffs the Bengals advanced to their second Super Bowl
of the decade. Once there, however, Cincinnati again lost to the
49ers when San Francisco scored a last-minute touchdown.
In 1990 Cincinnati won
its fifth division title. Esiason notched his sixth consecutive
3,000-yard season, a club record. The Bengals won a total of just
11 games from 1992 to 1994, and the team continued to struggle for
much of the rest of the 1990s.

After the 2009 season, when the Bengals won the division and lost in the first round, many wondered what the team would do for an encore. It resulted in a 4-12 campaign and the end of the Carson Palmer-Chad Ochocinco era.

In the big-picture scheme of things, a 9-7 regular season and second playoff berth in three years was better than anyone could have hoped during training camp.

In the narrow prism, a 6-2 mark at midseason raised the stakes that they didn't match. Instead, the Bengals dropped six of their final nine games including last Saturday's 31-10 loss at Houston.

With Andy Dalton and A.J. Green forming a young nucleus, the Bengals are in the best position they have been in for a long time.

By Len Pasquarelli INDIANAPOLIS - In his 13 NFL seasons, New England tailback Kevin Faulk, who might be playing in his final game in Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday evening, can't recall exactly how many concussions he has suffered.
Among all the many things that makes Tom Brady such a great quarterback, perhaps the most valuable and overlooked trait is his ability to change schemes through his career, master those different concepts, and keep playing at an elite level. … Continue reading →
Jerome Simpson, wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, was arraigned Monday on charges of trafficking marijuana in excess of eight ounces. Simpson pled not guilty to the charge, which is a felony punishable by one to five years in prison.

HONOLULU, Hawaii - While everyone was playing at half-speed and ready to extend their Hawaiian vacation, Brandon Marshall played as if it was his last game.
If Hawaii ever were to land a professional football team, Brandon Marshall would be its first target. The Miami Dolphins receiver scored a single-game record four touchdowns, finishing with 176 receiving yards to lead the AFC to a 59-41 win over the NFC in the Pro Bowl on Sunday at...
HONOLULU, Hawaii - Tony Gonzalez, Ray Lewis and Champ Bailey know what to expect. The new faces at the Pro Bowl aren't so sure, and are curious how intense they should play in Sunday's all-star game.
Tony Gonzalez, Ray Lewis and Champ Bailey know what to expect. The new faces at the Pro Bowl aren't so sure, and are curious how intense they should play in Sunday's all-star game. "I've never been in a Pro Bowl before, so I don't know what the tempo is going to be like," San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews said.
TAMPA, Fla. - The Buccaneers are counting on Greg Schiano to lead them back to respectability and transform Tampa Bay into consistent winners — much in the same way he made Rutgers matter again.
Just a couple of months ago, after it was clear the Cincinnati Bengals had indeed made many changes for the better and were likely on their way to the playoffs, talk began about key coaches moving onward and upward to head coach opportunities.
From the panorama of the Pacific outside his hotel window to watching NFC teammates Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees throw the ball, Cam Newton can't help but stare and be inspired by all the perfect views in paradise. "This is unbelievable, man. This is so gratifying and just to have the opportunity to be here is a blessing," the Carolina Panthers quarterback said in an interview with...
