Week 4 - A look at the early surprises of the NFL

Week 4 of the 2005 NFL football season has come and past. As I find
myself looking at the standings there is some real surprises that
jump out at me. Let's start with the 4 undefeated teams left in the
NFL. Talk about a surprising 4 teams this is, who would have guessed
it would be the Washington Redskins,
Tampa Bay Bucs, Indianapolis
Colts and the Cincinnati Bengals.
On the other side of the coin we have the winless teams. The Green
Bay Packers and Houston Texans
are still in search of there first win of the 2005 NFL football season.
You always think that the Packers will be there with Brett
Favre alone. The young Houston Texans I did not expect much from
but did read a couple of places where they saw them in line for a
potential break out year and possibly the playoffs.
There is also a slew of NFL teams with only one win that is a big
surprise including the Ravens,
Jets, Raiders,
Bills, Vikings
and Cardinals. With
still twelve games remaining in the 2005 NFL football season there
are guaranteed to get interesting. The team I see making the playoffs
and making a run that nobody thought had a chance is the Bengals and
I like the Cardinals as well as a sleeper to play better. A team that
I do not predict turning it around and underachieving for the rest
of the season is the NY Jets.
